The Kamera Akcja festival invites residents of Lodz to spend the coming summer days together in a movie atmosphere. Free screenings, workshops and meetings will be held at PURO Łódź (Thurs 4 August) and the Cinematography Museum (Friday 5 August). The program includes: screening of the film “Sonata” and a meeting with actress Barbara Wypych (“Stulecie winni”).
Next Thursday (August 4) there will be another edition of the event under the name “Enable access. Film summer in Łódź”. This time the organizer invites you to Cinema Paradiso (Hotel PURO Łódź). In the first place, viewers will have the opportunity to participate in the Home Movies Day (6:00 pm). After the screening of private movies selected from the home archive, you can see the effects of the work of the participants in the July Enable Access workshop. Report workshop. The inhabitants of Łódź and the surrounding area appear on the big screen in a report called Film oral histories (7:00 pm).
Thursday evening will conclude with the screening of “Balcony Film” (awarded the Grand Prix of the Media Festival “Man in Danger”) directed by Paweł Łoziński. Can someone be a movie hero? Can the world be closed in one frame? the creator watches people directly from his balcony and tries to answer the questions asked.
Sound workshops in Pałac Dźwięku at 29 Łąkowa Street (11:30 AM, registration required) start on the second day of the movie summer in Łódź. On the other hand, at 2:00 PM you can visit the nooks and crannies of the “Film Boat” together with the guide (new permanent exhibition of the Cinematography Museum, registration required). For those who haven’t had the opportunity before, the second Home Movies Day screening will be held at Kino Kinematograf.
In addition, on the big screen you can see Łódź’s production entitled “Wypyk” directed by Greg Zgliński. The film tells the story of two brothers, Alfred (Robert Więckiewicz) and Jerzy (Łukasz Simlat), who differ not only in the vision of running the business that their father gave them, but especially in their approach to life. The film was shot in Łódź.
The day will conclude with the screening of Bartosz Blaschke’s “Sonata”, which returned from the Gdynia Film Festival last year with the audience award. After the screening, there is a meeting with actress Barbara Wypych, a graduate of the film school in Łódź (known for the series “Kruk. Whispers after dark”, “M jak Miłość”, “Centenary of guilty”).

Graduated from the PWSFTViT in Łódź, winner of the 33rd FST, where she won the Grand Prix, the audience award for the “most exciting actress” and the prize of Łódź journalists. She is also a laureate of an individual prize at the International ITSElF Festival in Warsaw for the role of Withy in the diploma performance “Kamień” dir. Grzegorz Wiesniewski. On the big screen, among other things, in the films “The Singing Tablecloth” there were dir. Mariusz Grzegorzek, “Mr. Dulskie”. directs. Filip Bajon, “Afterimages” dir. Andrzej Wajda and in the television theater “Krzywy Domek”, directed by Anna Wieczur-Bluszcz. Since 2017, he has also been working on such series as “M jak miłość”, “Stool. Whispers are heard in the dark” directed by Maciej Pieprzyca and in the preparation of the series “Stulecie winni” directed by Piotr Trzaskalski.
