- Today, customers look at prices and the facade has been relegated to the background – say construction industry entrepreneurs engaged in thermal insulation of buildings
- They do not predict that after the words of the prime minister, who encouraged to insulate houses, the Poles would storm en masse and start heating houses.
- The problem is not only the cost, but also the availability of construction teams, and this decreases due to the lack of manpower

“Dear compatriots, if possible, try to insulate your houses before this heating season” – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki made an appeal during the press conference on July 13.
“It will be a difficult winter, Putin will do his best,” he added. “All of Europe realized this: the Germans and the Austrians realized how wrong their policies were, during the years of dependence on Russia. We have become independent from Russia, but unfortunately the high raw material prices also affect us” – added the Prime Minister.
Insulating buildings, he said, could cut bills by at least half. “I’ve heard that up to 70 percent.” – he encouraged.

Every cent counts
Poles will rush to insulate houses? Not convinced, Tomasz Zacłon from ZUH ZANEX, a company engaged in thermal insulation of buildings in the Silesia Voivodeship and has been in the market for more than 30 years. – The boom in insulating buildings was in that year. There were a lot of orders on the market, mainly generated by developers who wanted to complete the projects they started and put the sold flats into use – he says.

Last year, individual investors were also more likely to insulate their homes. This year, the enthusiasm was cooled by rising loan repayments. – This year there are not as many orders as in previous years. People would rather finish the house indoors than invest in the work outside. If they have any resources left, the first thing they will do is insulate the house. I do notice that the expenditure on the facade, paving stones or fences is limited. We also have fewer orders on the secondary market because cooperatives, communities and owners are afraid to take out loans – says Tomasz Zacwanie of ZUH ZANEX.
Still, the company is not short of work, but He can’t talk about the first available data until October. However, Tomasz Zaconka argues that this is not the result of a large number of orders, but of a lack of manpower. “If the same number of employees were available as last year, companies would start to lower prices because of the small number of orders and the large number of workers,” he says.

PLN 100 more per square meter
Grzegorz Wołodzko, the owner of the company CSAT, affiliated with the Association of Façade Contractors, also does not expect a boom in increases. – I rather think that the demand for facade works will remain at the current level, without an upward trend. During the day so much inflation customers carefully analyze their savingsbefore they decide to modernize the building. Especially that extensive insulation of a single-family home is an expenditure of up to 60 thousand. zloty – seek attention.
Grzegorz Wolodzko
He states that customers should thoroughly analyze their finances this year. – The cost of the insulation itself has risen significantly, allowing customers to analyze their financial capabilities more accurately than in previous years – he emphasizes.
like he says year after year, insulation costs increased by almost 100 PLN per square meter of insulated surface. – At the beginning of last year, the price of a square meter of facade on polystyrene was on average PLN 205 net. This year you have to pay PLN 280-290 net for the same space. Problems with materials are mainly related to long waiting times for delivery. Now you even have to wait 3-4 weeks longer for facade panels or clinker tiles than a few months ago. He’s been waiting for Styrofoam for almost 2 weeks. For comparison: in previous years the waiting time was 2-3 days – says Grzegorz Wołodzko of CSAT.
What he notices in people who decide to insulate the facade is looking for savings. – The type of facade finish changes most often. Customers decide to use a different material, usually different types of imitations. These are often coverings that imitate a panel instead of a much more expensive facade panel or flexible tiles instead of a clinker tile. Increasingly, they also give up facade ornaments, ie all rustic facades, cornices or reduce their number – emphasizes Grzegorz Wołodzko.
