Summer with Muses 2022 – Which stars are coming to Nowogard?

Next Sunday (July 10) another 25th edition of Summer with Muses will start! Who’s coming to Nowogard this year?

Among the people who announced their participation in the event were: Katarzyna Figura, Hanna Śleszyńska, Lech Dyblik, Michał Sikorski, Tomasz Habowski, Filip Gieldon, Magdalena Żak, Lidia Duda, Marcin Bortkiewicz and Marianna Ame, Grzegorz and Zofia Jaroszuk, Wojciech Solarz Maciej Makowski, Kasia Zimnoch and Paweł Kleszczewski and the winner of the Prize for Outstanding Artistic Achievements, Radosław Piwowarski.

The musical part of the festivals is represented by Celina Muza and Andrzej Janaszek and the Ludwik Sarski Orchestra.

Summer with Muses – stars and meeting dates

Magdalena Żak

An actress who has appeared on the stages of theaters all over Poland, incl. TR Warszawa or Teatr Nowy in Krakow. He is interested in cultural anthropology and commonly understood art.

Filip Gieldon

Graduated from the directing department of the Polish National Film, Television and Theater School in Łódź. He likes to combine film and theater with the cultural experience that gave him life in Sweden, London and finally Poland. He directs in film, theater and television.

Kasia Zimnoch and Paweł Kleszczewski

Polish duo of filmmakers and visual artists. They graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In 2013, they founded the animation company Konik in Cavan (Ireland). Zimnoch / Kleszczewski are the authors of this year’s poster “Summer with Muses”, at the festival you can see their artistic achievements, they will also conduct animation film workshops for young people. The workshops will result in an animation film in honor of the 25th anniversary of the festival.

Meeting: July 11, 12:00 p.m. opening of a multimedia exhibition and presentations of selected films; July 17, 9.30 pm premiere of the film made during the workshop.

Lech Dyblik

Film, television and theater actor. In 1981 he graduated from the PWST in Krakow. He starred in dozens of movies such as: “Pan Tadeusz” or “Kiler”.

Piotr Biniek

The author of the 2004 book “A Pole Alone in London”. He is also the co-author of the book “Stocznia Szczecińska. The Fall”, which premiered in 2011. The creator and head of the musical project “Świdwie Sanctus”, the film which is his directorial debut. He is currently working on projects bordering on experimental cinema, documentary and musical essay.

Tomasz Habowski

Graduated from Warsaw University. He worked for TVN and TVP, among others. He graduated from Rehearsal and Script Studio courses at Wajda School. He debuted with the film “Songs of Love”, which he won among others Microbudget Competition at the Gdynia Film Festival, Polish Film Competition at the Off Camera Festival, prize for directing at the “Młodzi i Film” festival in Koszalin.

Hanna Śleszyńska

Theater, film, television and cabaret actress. She made her debut in “Heaven of the disappointed” by Bertolt Brecht, dir. Leny Szumiej on the stage of the Ateneum Theater. On television, she achieved success in, among other things, “Far from the stretcher”, “Foster family”, “Don’t worry about me”. He often appears in minor roles in cinema films. During “Summer with the Muses” he will perform “Judy”, which officially opens the festival on July 15.

Marcin Bortkiewicz and Marianna Amez

Film and theater director, screenwriter and playwright, actor. Graduated from the University of Gdańsk and the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw. Member of the Association of Polish Filmmakers. He directed the critically acclaimed documentary “Initial Teaching” and the short film “Portrait from memory”. He made his feature film debut in the famous “Walpuga Night”, for which he received many critical acclaim and awards. After that he worked on numerous series. His second feature film is “Tonia”, starring his daughter Marianna Ame.

Micha Sikorski

A film and theater actor from Wadowice. He studied acting at the Academy of Theater Arts. St. Wyspianski in Krakow. Winner of the Acting Debut Prize at the 46th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, the Male Role Prize at the 41st “Młodzi i Film” Festival in Koszalin and the “Martercard Rising Star” Prize at the OFF CAMERA Festival in Krakow. From 2019 an actor of the Polski Theater in Pozna.

Zofia Jaroszuk

Graduated in Film Studies and Management in Culture from Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

After gaining experience in the international promotion of Polish short films, she joined the film studio Animoon, where as a producer she oversees the projects of short films, feature films and series. He is involved in the creative development of projects from development to promotion. The films he works on regularly win awards at the world’s most important animation film festivals.

Grzegorz Jaroszuk

Film director and screenwriter. Born 1983 in Warsaw. He is a graduate of the directing department of the Polish National Film, Television and Theater School in Łódź. He received many prestigious awards for his debut film “Kebab and Horoscope”, including the prize for the best foreign feature film at the 2015 Rome Independent Film Festival. His second feature film is “Loved Ones”, which was screened at the festival in Karlovy Vary. . He is a member of the European Film Academy.

Lidia Duda

Director and screenwriter of films and documentary series. Two-time winner of the Golden Hobby-Horse Grand Prix at the Krakow Film Festival, for the 2005 films “Hercules” and “Uwikłonie” from 2012. Her latest “Pisklaki” was recognized at the Millennium Docs Against Gravity with four awards. Lidia Duda is on the jury of the Young Poland Film Competition.

Wojciech Solarz and Maciej Makowski

Wojtek Solarz is well known in Nowogard. This popular actor, director and screenwriter is a regular guest of our festival and his loyal friend. This year, Wojtek Solarz, together with his friend from Teatr Gędzba (and many theater, film and TV sets), actor Maciej Makowski, will participate in the production of the anniversary film, made as part of the animation workshops, for which Wojtek wrote the script and who will record dialogues with Maciek. In addition, Maciej Makowski will be a member of the jury of the FMP competition.

Meeting: July 17, 9.30 pm as part of the closing ceremony of the festival.

Katarzyna Figura

One of the most popular Polish film and theater actresses. In 1985 she graduated from the acting department of the State Higher School of Theater in Warsaw. Over the years, she has built up the position of one of the most popular actresses of Polish cinema, appearing in such important films as “Kiler”, “Zemsta”, “Żurek”, “Aria Diva”, “7 Feelings” among others. ” and “Baptism” At the festival “Summer with the Muses” you can see her in the films “Victoria”, “Baptism” and “Train to Hollywood” “.

Radoslaw Piwowarskic

The outstanding Polish director will receive this year’s Cisowy Laurel, an award awarded by the organizers of the Painting Music Film Festival “Lato z Muzami” in Nowogard.
