The “Kameralne Lato” starts in Radom

The official opening of the festival will take place on Sunday 3 July at 4.30 pm in the Concert Shell in the park. T. Kościuszko, and they will be graced by the concert “Viking Goddesses” performed by the Stetechek brothers.

On the first day of the festival, there is also an open-air film screening in the Automobile Cinema. On the screen there will be a production in the atmosphere of a road movie – “Thelma and Louise” (directed by Ridley Scott). The screening will take place in a specially equipped space for the Castorama hypermarket. Start at 21:30.

On Tuesday, July 5, in the framework of the international workshop “TOGETHER – ToGetThere” at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Radom, the debate “Film as a modern tool for prevention of social education” will take place led by the organizer of the festival – Karolina Adamczyk .

Radom residents can also participate in the free and open cycle ACADEMY OF PROFESSIONALS, in which the artists talk about the backstage of working in the film industry. The program includes a lecture by the actress and director of the Powszechny Theater. Jan Kochanowski in Radom – Małgorzata Potocka and actors Alan Bochnak and Wojciech Ługowski. The meetings will take place on 5, 6 and 7 July in the Kotłownia Stage. Starts at 6:00 PM.

During the series ROOM SUMMER FOR CHILDREN, which takes place as part of the Masovian social prevention program on July 6 at 11 am, young people from Radom will participate in the screening of the film “Puls Sióstr”, then in workshops specially designed for them . The meeting is open to everyone.

As part of the HEAVEN ON RADOMIEM series on July 5, 6 and 7, in the courtyard of the ZHP Radom-City Scouting Unit (Rynek 1), there will be a look back at the directorial achievements of one of the most respected filmmakers in the world – Clint Eastwood. Viewers will see the movies “RICHARD JEWELL”, “SULLY” and “CRY MACHO”. The show starts at 9:30 PM.

New to the festival’s anniversary edition program is the International Short Film Competition, which will take place on 8 July as part of the CHAMBER SUMMER competition, or the FREEDOM Film Festival. Viewers take part in open and free screenings of films from the farthest corners of the globe.

As part of this year’s FREEDOM Film Festival, the regular programs of each edition of the KAMER ZOMER – the National Short Film Competition (6-7 July) and the HYDE PARK Jet Film Competition (4 July) will also be included.

Viewers will also participate in the unique Ukrainian Film Review, in which they will see 5 short productions. The screening is scheduled for July 8 at 9:30 PM in Kamienica Deskurów.

On July 9, at 6:00 PM, the ELEKTROWNIA Center for Contemporary Art will host a DEBATE ON FREEDOM, in which celebrities from the film and culture world will talk about different aspects of freedom: Łukasz Jasina, Chris Niedenthal, Małgorzata Potocka and Mariusz Wilczyński. The meeting is hosted by the festival’s artistic director – Łukasz Adamski.

The 15th edition of the event will also feature numerous industry events as part of the SCRIPTMARKET.PRO section (July 7-9). During the festival week, there will be meetings with film industry specialists, workshops and a debate on the short film production system in Poland. During pitching sessions, young filmmakers are given the opportunity to present their film projects.

The anniversary edition of the festival is crowned with the closing gala, where we know the winners of film competitions. The ceremony will take place on July 9 at 8:30 PM at the Powszechny Theater. Jan Kochanowski in Radom.

The program of the jubilee edition of ROOMZOMER is also full of open cultural events. Residents of Radom can participate in concerts and music evenings in the festival club for free.
