Imagine Dragons did not disappoint fans’ expectations. New album with mega hits for summer and fall!

Just two days after their spectacular performance on the main stage of Open’er, Imagine Dragons are proud to present their highly anticipated Mercury double album Acts 1 & 2.

Imagine Dragons’ new album 2022 makes a sensation! With an epic of 32 songs, the group presents its most daring artistic statement to date. The double album, produced by Rick Rubin, features the hits of Enemy, Bones and Sharks and is an extension of Mercury – Act 1 from 2021. While the first part of the album addresses themes of love, faith, pain, passion and loss, the second focuses on solving personal problems and the biggest existential questions of their career. Dan Reynolds, the group’s frontman, says:

Mercury – Act 1 focuses on the immediacy of death. How does it sound? What kind of feeling is it? Mercury – Act 2 revolves around the process that follows. Coping, waking up… life must go on. When you lose someone you love, life goes on. This album is about loss, grief and life. I think it’s very important to mention life here, because this album is a lot of fun. It’s about being present.

Imagine Dragons – album July 2022

In late June, Imagine Dragons took fans into the world of Mercury – Acts 1 & 2 with the release of their latest single, Sharks. The group staged the ceremonial premiere of the single with the red carpet during its European tour. The stream of the Gartenbaukino Cinema in Vienna is available on the internet. Directed by VMA-winning Drew Kirsch (Taylor Swift), the video is set from their native Las Vegas, including iconic locations such as Bellagio, Allegiant Stadium, Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef Aquarium, O by Cirque Du Soleil, and more.

Imagine Dragons paved the way for their new album with the release of a string of recent singles that hit the top of the charts. To date, the song “Bones” has been viewed more than 331 million times and the accompanying music video has more than 31 million views on YouTube. The song soared high on the Billboard Hot 100 and received widespread critical acclaim. Their previous single, the worldwide hit “Enemy”, collected 4.6 billion streams in two versions (including in collaboration with Grammy-nominated rapper JID). “Enemy”, which was featured in Riot Games’ animated series “Arcane”, took 1st place on Alternative Radio and Top 40 Radio.

Imagine Dragons has sold more than 60 million albums, 55 million digital songs and more than 108 billion streams. The group turned out to be the most popular rock band of the past decade and completely transformed the genre. All of the rock songs that reached the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 3 were recorded by Imagine Dragons: “Believer”, “Thunder” and “Radioactive”.

Imagine dragons – who are they?

Formed in 2009, the band started out with several independently released EPs and then signed to KIDinaKORNER/Interscope. In 2012, the EP “Continued Silence” was released. In the same year, the group’s debut album “Night Visions” was released. The album reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and earned them a Grammy in the Best Rock Performance (“Radioactive”) category, and the single itself received a Diamond Sales Certificate. In 2015, it was time for “Smoke + Mirrors,” this time debuting at the top of the US sales charts. In 2017 “EVOLVE” (nominated for a Grammy) was released and a year later “ORIGINS”. These two albums spawned hits such as “Bliever”, “Thunder”, “Whatever It Takes” and “Natural”.

For their fifth studio album – Imagine Dragons’ first new music since 2018 – the band teamed up with esteemed producer Rick Rubin. The album debuted in the top ten of the Billboard 200 and at number 2 on the Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. The singles “Wrecked”, “Cutthroat” and “Follow You” come from the publishing house, with the latter reaching #1 on the Mediabase Alternative Radio and Billboard Alternative Airplay charts. The single gave the group the fastest climb to the top of the Billboard charts. Then it was time for “Enemy”. Created for Netflix’s “Arcane” production, the song garnered more than 4.6 billion streams, earning the group the title of the most popular digital service band in the US in 2021.

Now in 2022, Imagine Dragons is expanding the world of “Mercury” with the double album “Mercury – Acts 1 & 2”, including the single “Bones”. Dan Reynolds explains that the two-piece album is about learning to accept the unknown and the art of letting go. These healing feelings Imagine Dragons will present to fans at the upcoming summer festivals in Europe and the amazing US tour that kicks off in August.
