Since its reactivation in 2018, the brand’s designers have been surprising with streetwear design. The brand evolves from season to season and responds to current trends. But Kubota is more than just a trend, it’s a lifestyle. Play, joy, spontaneity – the street-inspired collections are distinguished by saturated colors, oversized cuts and sporty details. The Spring-Summer 2022 collection – #UNISEXBYKUBOTA – is streetwear for him and her. The designs mix with each other, the same models are intended for everyone, regardless of gender.

– Kubota has pushed the boundaries previously established and broken the status quo from the very beginning of its existence. We focused on this aspect on the occasion of the 2022 collection. That is why we focused on unisex patterns and bags, which are an element of fashion equality – explains Iwona Dąbrowska, director of the collection.

At first, the colors grab your attention. In addition to the timeless shades of white and black, the third dominant color is orange which resembles a neon highlighter, sunset on the beach or your favorite summer drink, aperol spritz. A worthy competitor to orange is pastel purple. The lavender hue is associated with Provencal fields, Parisian macaroons and the wardrobe of Scandinavian influencers. The signature Kubota logo appears on the T-shirts, demonstrating that it belongs to the brand’s community.

The range of styles has increased significantly. In addition to T-shirts, sweatshirts and pants – cargo, sweatpants and Bermudas, an anorak jacket, resistant to rain and wind, makes its debut, the perfect companion for holiday trips to music festivals, camping on Hel or surfing on a paradise island. Equally expressive are bucket hats, the favorite headwear of the TikTok generation, who take a sensitive look at Y2K trends. Today, bucket hats are not only combined with streetwear clothing, but can also complement boho styling. In summer we replace the pockets with kidneys for even more freedom of movement. And yet freedom is one of the most important rules of a holiday. The designers have also thought of the comfort of the fabric. All clothing is made of pleasant to the touch, fleshy cotton that works even in the hottest heat.

Care has also been taken to emphasize the unisex character of the collection. Bags, which are often omitted in women’s collections, have become the main element of all proposals. Of course Kubota wouldn’t be without the iconic flip flops. – We present new models of flaps, Velcro 2.0 Tech – says company president Alina Sztoch.

During the Duma month, Kubota supported the campaign against homophobia and the magazine “Replika”, supporting the message of acceptance, inclusiveness and equality. A clear signal from popular brands is an important gesture towards LGBT+ people. The more such positive examples, the faster the changes take place. One of the symptoms of brands’ pro-social activity is their commitment to spread the idea of ​​tolerance. Kubota also knows that gender fluid fashion is the future of the industry.
