During the presentation of the project to the media, Zbigniew Juroszek, chairman of ATAL, pointed out the importance of investments in the center of Katowice.

– Projects like the one at ul. Olimpijska and our other development projects, such as Sky +, Sokolska 30 or Francuska Park, are changing the face of Katowice. We noticed a huge potential in this city a long time ago, especially in the center, where there was a shortage of modern housing investment comparable to modern metropolises. Thanks to all of Atal’s ongoing or completed investments, 3,700 new apartments have been added to Katowice, President Zbigniew Juroszek said.

The presentation of the flagship Atal investment in Katowice falls during the period when the World Urban Forum is taking place nearby.

– WUF 11 is a time of discussion about the future of cities and directions of their development. In the 21st century, we are witnessing a huge acceleration in the transformation of this part of the city, which is centered around the Culture Zone and was once an industrial area. Collaboration with the business community in our city takes place on many levels, including revitalization. It was only a matter of time before housing projects appeared near utilities, culture, entertainment and business
in the case of Katowice, they are very attractive – said Bogumił Sobula, Katowice’s first vice president.

A total of 710 apartments and 17 commercial units will be realized in 3 buildings as part of the Atal Olimpijska project. Customers can choose from apartments with different layouts and sizes: from 1 to 4 rooms.

The largest and most prestigious apartments will have a surface area of up to 140 m². Functional studios that are very popular – from 25 m². Prices range from PLN 9 700 – 15 300 gross.

– For the convenience of future tenants, we have planned numerous amenities including bicycle rooms, rooms for accessories and a relaxation area with greenery and small architecture. There will be a reception on the ground floor of the tallest building and an observation deck on the 38th floor. The infrastructure will include external parking lots with the possibility to build a charging station for electric cars. Olimpijska customers can optionally choose other smart home options, says Angelika Kliś, member of the board of directors of Atal.

The residents of Atal Olimpijska will appreciate the proximity to the city’s infrastructure, entertainment and leisure, as well as excellent access to public transport. The major advantage of the investment is its location. In a quiet and relaxing culture zone, surrounded by iconic buildings typical of Katowice, such as the seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the International Congress Center, Spodek or the Silesian Museum.

The building complex was designed by Wojciech Wojciechowski from Katowice and his team.

– The solutions designed are in line with the latest architectural and urban design trends. The observation deck on the roof of the tallest building allows the residents of Olimpijska to enjoy an impressive view of the panorama of Katowice and even the mountains. It will also be a great place to relax and socialize. An impressive effect will also be created by the specially designed light lighting of the building, which will show it in a different light after dark – says Wojciech Wojciechowski, architect.

Its distinctive functional and design elements include: a ventilated facade, panoramic glazing of the logy, glass balustrades and excellent sunlight from three sides of the world. The project foresees the use of modern high quality materials including: Stacbond system and openwork plates – Champagne Metallic and Mosaic Superfine plaster with the addition of mica.

Construction work on the investment in Atal Olimpijska started in December 2021.

Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025 and a usage permit will be obtained in the first quarter of 2026.
