Do you spend the summer in the city? You will not be bored. In the town of Pruszcz Gdański, many attractions are being prepared, from family fairs, meetings with authors, historical events, to concerts of Polish and world musicians or performances of the Wybrzeże Theater.
The calendar of events is rich and everyone will surely find something for themselves. First things first! To begin with, we present the events of the series Faktoria Kultury. As every year, the city’s amphitheater hosts concerts by leading artists and performances by the Wybrzeże Theater. The events of the entire cycle are free. August 27, 2022. Faktoria Two Cultures: Polish-Ukrainian Integration Picnic
In the southern part of the city, visitors to Pruszcz Gdański can visit the reconstructed trading factory from Roman times. We will see there, among others, The Chief’s Hut – a museum exhibition that combines the latest multimedia solutions with the wealth of archaeological monuments and the beauty of amber exhibitions, the Market Hall – a place where you can meet living archeology, the Amber’s Hut, where a reconstruction is from the workshop along with the products of this craftsman, and The Blacksmith’s Hut, in which the interior of the house and the forge are precisely recreated. During the summer holidays, many interesting reconstruction and craft events take place here, this year the event schedule is as follows:
02-03.07.2022 Welcome of the holidays (bonfire, plebeian games, field games, workshops for children).
09-10.07.2022 Weekend with nature (herbal stall and lectures on herbal medicine, art workshops for children and adults, lecture on animals).
16-17.07.2022 Craft weekend (weaving fringes, dyeing, presentation of the history of dyeing with natural dyes).
23-24.07.2022 Visit of NORDELAG reenactors, depicting the life of the 10th century mercenary team from the North Sea basin.
30-31.07.2022 Old Polish Village – Village of Dying Professions (Oil Pressing, “Old Polish Village” booth – Butter churning, flour milling, churning grits, carrying water from the well in the so-called Szundy, washing on the track, demonstration of coffee roasting , presentation of agricultural machinery.
06-07.08.2022 Drop Zone IV (continuation of the events of previous years, equipment and weapons through the ages, mini dioramas, wheeled and tracked vehicles, exhibition of models of British military equipment, model building competition).
August 13-14, 2022 Visit of re-enactors from the Gdańsk Rota Mieszczańska (14th-15th century).
August 20-21, 2022. The archery tournament for the Amber Arrow (children’s dolls, field game – “lost arrow”).
August 27-28, 2022. A visit of the group of reenactors VICUS ULTIMUS (Masłomęcz), with the aim of increasing the knowledge about military and civilian life in the decline of the Roman Empire and the so-called Migrations of peoples, with particular emphasis on the 4th century .

Lovers of the festivities of residential areas will also get their money’s worth. Fun for kids, face painting, glitter tattoos, twisted balloons, pinned braids, Zumba, ball games and many other attractions can be found every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 in the parks, playgrounds and playgrounds of Pruszcz.
