Kamil Majchrzak will participate in the Grand Slam Roland Garros 2022 competition on Monday. The young American Brandon Nakashima, about whom the tennis world heard last season, will stand in the way of the Pole.

26-year-old Kamil Majchrzak did not have a very good entry into the stone meal. First he lost to Mirza Basic in Marrakesh and then did not qualify for the tournaments in Monte Carlo and Rome. Piotrkowianin achieved a remarkable result in the week before Roland Garros 2022. In Geneva, he reached the quarter-finals, where the experienced Richard Gasquet stopped him.

Majchrzak plays for the fifth time in a row on the famous courts in Paris. In 2018 and 2019 he was eliminated in the qualifying round. In the 2020 season, he made his big league debut, but lost in the first round to Karen Khachanov. For the first win, he had to wait until the 2021 edition of the event in Paris. He then won with the young Arthur Cazaux to recognize Casper Ruud’s superiority in the second stage.

As part of Roland Garros 2022, Majchrzak Brandon Nakashima drew in the first round. The Pole soon had the chance of a rematch. Just three weeks ago, he lost to the American 4:6, 6:7(5) in the qualifying final at Foro Italico, losing a chance to appear on the main ladder of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome.

The 20-year-old from San Diego flashed last summer. He reached two consecutive finals of the ATP 250 competition (Los Cabos and Atlanta) and made his debut in the Top 100. A good attitude lifted him to the highest place in his career, 62nd place. But the 2022 season has not been a successful season for the U.S. Representative. He only reached one quarter-final, in January on the Sydney clay courts, and so he had serious problems winning two games in a row.

Nakashima is not comfortable with the European meal. In Barcelona, ​​he defeated only Nicolas Alvarez Varona, who was in the third hundred, before losing to Ruud. Then, in Munich, Botic van de Zandschulp was more effective in the first phase. In the preliminaries for the tournament in Madrid there was a defeat against Benoit Paire. We managed to qualify in Rome, but in the first game of the main round Grigor Dimitrov was too strong.

On Monday, Nakashima will make his debut in the main event of the Grand Slam Roland Garros. In 2020-2021, he was eliminated in the first qualifying round in Paris.
