Stress has a very negative influence on domestic hedgehogs and their functioning. Sudden stressful situations, such as pulling a hedgehog out of the terrarium, forcing or disturbing a hedgehog while resting, can be the direct cause of his sudden death. Therefore, it is very important that the hedgehog is bred as a pet in accordance with its natural lifestyle and personal preferences.
