As expected, Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra defeated Zdunek Wybrzeże (47:43), but the reinforced Gdańsk players fought for the points until the end. The set was won by Max Fricke, the hero of his team.

The clear favorite from Sunday’s meeting was the team of Stelmet Falubazu Zielona Góra, who wanted to quickly return to PGE Ekstraliga. Zdunek Wybrzeże joined this match, but was reinforced by Timo Lahtim, although the beginning of Fin’s adventure with the new club was a false start – he reached the last position.
However, Rasmus Jensen did well at the start of the game and impressed with starts. In addition, Marcel Krzykowski won the youth run, after which Adrian Gale was barred from “closing the gate” by Jan Kvech. This made it a 9:9 draw after three heats.
But in the end it was Stelmet Falubaz who started to triumph. While the guests were pretty good from the start, they lost positions easily. An example was the 5th race, when Jan Kvech and Rohan Tungate passed their rivals and instead of 2:4 it was 4:2. After the double victory of the pair, Piotr Protasiewicz – Krzysztof Buczkowski, it was 25:17 for Stelmet Falubazu after the 7th race.

It seemed that the advantage of the hosts would grow, but the inhabitants of Gdańsk do not “crack”. Krzykowski, who was three laps behind Tungate, was close to the thrill in race 12. In the end, the Australian missed him, but the Zielona Góra team’s lead was reduced to four points.
This rose to six points after 13th gear, but race fourteen was won by Adrian Gała, awoke from a bad start, and the final race decided everything. Max Fricke, who missed Timo Lahti from a distance, did a great job in it. The Australian was by far the best player and it was thanks to him that the team from Zielona Góra scored a full set of points.
